Procurement Specialist (Beauty & eCommerce Supply)
Role Summary:
The Procurement Specialist ensures product availability at the right cost, quality, and lead
time to support Tallah Beauty's online sales.
The role manages vendor sourcing, purchase orders, replenishment planning, landed cost control, and supplier performance, while
avoiding stockouts and overstock.
Key Responsibilities:
•Create and manage Purchase Orders (POs) based on sales trends, min/max levels, and
forecasts
• Ensure high availability for top sellers and campaign SKUs (e.g., January promotions)
• Coordinate with warehouse for receiving, discrepancies, and stock updates
• Manage reorder points and maintain healthy inventory levels across fast/slow movers
•Source and onboard suppliers (local distributors / importers / wholesalers)
• Negotiate best pricing, payment terms, MOQs, lead times, and return policies
• Maintain supplier agreements and periodic price reviews
• Track promotions funding / supplier support where applicable
• Ensure correct invoices, GRNs, and supplier documentation
• Support Finance with payment planning and vendor reconciliation
•Ensure compliance for cosmetics (batch/expiry, packaging integrity, storage
requirements)
• Manage expiry risk, FIFO/FEFO rules with warehouse
• Build risk plans for supply disruption (backup vendors, substitutes)
Requirements:
•2–5 years procurement experience (FMCG, beauty, pharmacy, retail, eCommerce
preferred)
• Strong Excel/Sheets skills (forecasting, pivots), basic inventory planning
• Negotiation and supplier management skills
• Organized, detail-oriented, strong follow-up and documentation
• Comfortable with ERPs/CRMs + Shopify reporting
