Location:Dubai

6 Months Contract

I am currently partnering with a leading hedge fund that are looking for a Python Developer to join their team in Dubai. In this role, you will design and build strategic Python-based applications and services that support a wide range of data, research, analytics, and operational workloads. You will also be responsible for developing and maintaining robust ETL/ELT pipelines across financial, operational, and risk datasets.

The role involves close collaboration with AI engineers, data scientists, and various business teams to deliver production-grade systems. You will contribute to the integration and deployment of AI/ML workflows, including feature engineering, data preparation, and model serving. A key aspect of the role is building automation, tooling, and reusable frameworks that enhance engineering efficiency and data reliability.

Additionally, you will implement and champion best practices in software engineeringcovering testing, version control, CI/CD, and documentationwhile supporting broader initiatives around data governance, quality, and reproducibility.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong Python programming skills and experience with key libraries (NumPy, Pandas, PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, etc.)
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles
• Hands-on experience building ETL/ELT pipelines and working with workflow orchestration tools (Airflow, Prefect, Dagster, etc.)
• Experience working with structured and unstructured data, including SQL/NoSQL and cloud-based data platforms
• Familiarity with the AI/ML lifecycle, from experimentation through deployment
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams
