About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Odoo Technical Lead to lead the design, development, customization, and implementation of our Odoo ERP platform. The successful candidate will work closely with the Solution Architect, Business Analyst, and internal stakeholders to deliver scalable, high-quality business solutions while providing technical leadership and mentorship to the development team.

This role is ideal for an experienced Odoo developer with strong Python expertise, hands-on ERP implementation experience, and proven leadership capabilities. The candidate should be comfortable driving technical decisions, reviewing code, mentoring developers, and delivering enterprise-grade Odoo solutions.

The candidate should also be comfortable using AI-assisted coding tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Cursor, or similar tools to improve development productivity while maintaining code quality, security, and development standards.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead the technical design, development, customization, and implementation of Odoo ERP solutions.

* Design scalable and maintainable Odoo modules for HR, CRM, Sales, Inventory, Accounting, Project, Workflow, Reporting, and other business processes.

* Work closely with the Solution Architect, Business Analyst, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

* Lead the customization of Odoo models, views, XML, QWeb templates, workflows, reports, security rules, and business logic.

* Design and maintain integrations between Odoo and internal or third-party systems using REST APIs, JSON-RPC, or XML-RPC.

* Lead data migration, data validation, and system configuration activities from legacy systems.

* Troubleshoot complex production issues, performance bottlenecks, and system defects.

* Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards, security practices, and software development best practices.

* Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior and intermediate developers.

* Participate in architecture discussions and make technical decisions for solution design and implementation.

* Estimate development effort, support sprint planning, and provide technical recommendations throughout the software development lifecycle.

* Use AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Cursor, or similar platforms to improve development efficiency while validating generated code for accuracy, maintainability, and security.

* Participate in testing, deployment, release management, and production support.

* Prepare and maintain technical documentation for customizations, integrations, deployment processes, and development standards.

* Collaborate with cross-functional and remote teams across different time zones.

Required Skills and Qualifications

* 5+ years of software development experience, preferably in ERP, CRM, or enterprise business application development.

* 5+ years of hands-on Odoo development and customization experience.

* Strong programming skills in Python.

* Strong understanding of Odoo ORM, models, views, XML, QWeb, workflows, security rules, and access control.

* Experience designing and developing custom Odoo modules from scratch.

* Strong experience with PostgreSQL, database design, and query optimization.

* Experience integrating external systems using REST APIs, JSON-RPC, or XML-RPC.

* Experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, and OWL framework.

* Experience using Git and modern software development lifecycle practices.

* Experience with Odoo.sh, Docker, Linux, or cloud deployment.

* Experience conducting code reviews and maintaining software development standards.

* Experience mentoring developers or leading technical teams.

* Experience participating in architecture design and technical decision-making.

* Experience using AI-assisted coding tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Cursor, or similar tools.

* Ability to review AI-generated code and ensure compliance with coding standards, maintainability, and security requirements.

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

* Experience leading enterprise Odoo implementation projects.

* Experience with Odoo HR, CRM, Sales, Inventory, Accounting, Manufacturing, Project, Recruitment, or Document modules.

* Experience with large-scale Odoo migrations and version upgrades.

* Experience migrating data from Excel, CSV, legacy ERP systems, or third-party platforms.

* Experience with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud platforms.
