Job Responsibilities

  • Implementation of the quality system in accordance with ISO 9001 2015 & ISO 17025 2017 (General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories).
  • Conducting periodic inspection (Process and Technical) to assess the status of deployment of system to formulate corrective and preventive action for any non-conforming aspects, and to conduct follow-ups assessments on the resolution of these non-conformities.
  • Carry out routine internal calibration, preventive maintenance and performance checks of laboratory equipment.
  • Implementing Internal Quality Control program ( IQC ) for various test methods , ensure validity of results using standard methods
  • Support QA QC Manager for successful execution of third party audits from accreditation bodies.
  • Assist Laboratory Manager and supervisor to conduct training sessions for laboratory staff.
  • Update equipment inventory and equipment traceability records.
  • Ensuring the completion of Analytical Quality Checks ( AQC) in chemical laboratory and document the results of analysis.
  • Ensure laboratory participation in Proficiency Testing Programs (PTP) and assist laboratory team for conducting tests on PT sample.
  • Assist laboratory Manager and Supervisor with Gap analysis whenever there is an upgrade in test standard.
  • Assist QA QC Manager to ensure compliance of regulatory requirements within laboratory operations.

You Bring (qualifications & Experience)


  • Graduate preferably Chemistry or with Diploma/Certificate in Engineering or Geology.
  • At least 2-3 years of similar experience in a Laboratory Testing environment, Geotechnical laboratory preferred.
  • Internal auditor certification on ISO 17025 2017
  • Trainings / Certification on Uncertainty Calculations
  • Problem-solving/judgment the ability to observe, think critically and to solve problems using data, analysis, interpretation, and reasoning skills.
  • Teamwork the proven dedication and ability to work successfully with others, adding value to the team.
  • Information and communication Communicates appropriately and effectively with a range of people on a variety of subjects in order to inform, educate or influence them. Processes and provides data / information to meet business requirements.
  • Client focus the ability to identify, meet and sometimes exceed the needs and expectations of (external or internal) clients, resulting in (long-term) client satisfaction.
  • Agility the ability to be flexible, responsive, adaptive, and show initiative in times of change, uncertainty and business opportunity.
