Job Description

Job Title: QA/QC Engineer

Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE

Job Type: Full-time

* Candidate must have Engineering consultancy experience within UAE

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain the Project Quality Plan (PQP) in accordance with ISO 9001, contract specifications, and local authority regulations.
  • Ensure all design, supervision, and construction activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, codes, and standards.
  • Monitor compliance with UAE local authorities requirements
  • Review, control, and maintain quality records, including: Method Statements, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), Material Submittals and Approvals, NCRs, CARs, and observation reports
  • Ensure proper documentation control and timely submission through EDMS / Aconex / Unifier or similar systems.
  • Conduct site inspections for architectural, structural, and MEP works to verify quality of workmanship.
  • Witness and verify testing and commissioning activities as per approved ITPs.
  • Ensure works are executed as per approved shop drawings and materials.
  • Identify quality issues and raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) where required.
  • Monitor and verify corrective and preventive actions implemented by contractors.
  • Close NCRs in coordination with the consultant's supervision team.
  • Review and recommend approval/rejection of material submittals.
  • Ensure materials delivered to site comply with approved specifications and authority approvals.
  • Monitor workmanship quality and ensure adherence to best engineering practices.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, Resident Engineers, discipline engineers, contractors, and clients on quality-related matters.
  • Liaise with local authorities and third-party inspectors during inspections and audits.
  • Participate in technical meetings, site meetings, and quality reviews.
  • Conduct internal quality audits and assist in external audits.
  • Prepare quality reports, inspection reports, and weekly/monthly quality summaries.
  • Track key quality performance indicators and highlight risks.
  • Review testing procedures and ensure all required tests are conducted as per standards.
  • Verify test results, mock-ups, samples, and trial works.
  • Support final inspections, snagging, and handover documentation.
  • Ensure completeness of as-built drawings, operation & maintenance manuals, and quality dossiers.
  • Assist in project closeout and final authority approvals.
  • Support HSE compliance by ensuring works follow approved HSE plans without compromising quality.
  • Coordinate with HSE teams to address quality-related safety concerns.
