Responsibilities
- Responsible for the design, implementation and co-ordination of all HSE programs. Shall develop and provide technical and administrative directions on all HSE decisions.
- Able to develop, implement and maintain QHSE related procedures, policies, risk-assessments for the various activities, aspect-impact assessments etc. for the various operations of the company.
- Shall conduct work place safety audits, report incidents, conduct incident investigation and root cause analysis.
- Responsible for getting the necessary approvals such as Environmental License, Civil Defense License for smooth running of operations.
- Shall be able to conduct QHSE related trainings, encourage safe working practices, corrects near misses and reports the same.
- Shall be able to work with the multi-national employees and achieve cultural change in the face of potential resistance.
- Shall liaise with external agencies and ensure compliance with the various requirements.
- Review and update the QHSE procedures and policies periodically and ensure compliance with the local and international regulations.
- Maintain positive and proactive relations with Managers and employees as well as our customers and regulatory agencies.
- Shall promote incident prevention for the benefit of employees and visitors.
- Shall be a Lead Auditor in ISO 14001 / OHSAS 18001 OR ISO 45001.
Must hold an internationally recognized HSE certificate including any or more of the followings: o NEBOSH (International)l General Certificate
NEBOSH (International) Diploma or its equivalent
NVQ level 5 Diploma in Health and Safety or its equivalent
British Safety Council level 6 certificate or its equivalent
Certificates in process safety will be an added advantage
Graduate level membership of any internationally recognized health and safety organizations such as IOSH, ASSP, CSC, etc.
Must be a certified to Lead Auditor to ISO 14001 / OHSAS 18001 or ISO 45001
