We are currently recruiting for a QHSE Manager for our client to be based out of their Dubai office.
Purpose-
Establish, implement, oversee and review ISO 9001-2015 QMS, Quality assurance/Quality Control and Health and Safety Management for the Electromechanical Contracting Division.
Responsibility-
- Quality Management Representative for the Division, to ensure implementation and review of ISO 9001-2015 Quality Management System.
- Liaise and coordinate with Group Quality Manager for Planning and execution of internal and external ISO 9001-2015 Quality Management System audits in accordance to approved procedures and audit schedules.
- Oversee and ensure that ISO 9001-2015 QMS procedures are implemented trough out the operations in the Division, in line with company Quality Policy.
- Review ISO procedures for relevance, practical application and manage suggestions for improvement or change
- Occupational Health and Safety Management representative for the BU to ensure implementation
- and review of IOS45001:2018 Management system.
- Environmental Management Representative for the BU to ensure implementation and review
- of ISO14001:2015 Management System.
- Establish, distribute and implement relevant project Quality documentation to project teams,
- which includes QA Plans, QA Procedures, Method statements, ITP's, checklists etc.
- Compile and ensure practical effective downstream implementation of the Project QA/QC Plans and procedures through regular site visits.
- Liaise with Management levels on quality issues, customer complaints and continual improvement
- Oversee investigation, root cause analysis, CAR/PAR and closure of NCR's for both subcontractors and company employee's work.
- Oversee production of technical and management system reports e.g. drawings and material, inspections submittals, their approval and rejection status, analytical review of the collected data and necessary corrective measures for continual improvement process of the project QMS system.
- Oversee site accident/incidents investigations, recommend corrective and preventive actions to control recurrence, initiate injury insurance claims and liaise/follow up action on outstanding claims.
- Initiates required inter office memos, safety notices, signs, displays, corrective/ preventive action requests, address and response safety default notices and complaints.
- Initiates incentives/ awards to workers/ staff to promote safe work environment.
- Initiates in house safety awareness trainings, seminars for staff and workers, monitors Safety performance and recommends promotions, courses for their carrier growth.
- Health and safety response to bids, tenders and prequalification inquiries
- Please note it is normal to expect no more than 10 principal accountabilities and for more junior position less. Although it would be expected to have no more than 8 for most managerial positions.
Skills-
- B Sc Engineering or similar discipline with construction working background having worked in large scale companies.
- (8-10) years of overall experience.
- Strong Management skills, Communication Skills required.
- Should possess high degree of result oriented hard working attitude.
- Should be a team player and should have strong leadership skills
- High technical competencies in Construction (Mechanical/Electrical) are necessary.
- Fluency in English language is a must.
