Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a QS Engineer specializing in construction, based in Cairo, Egypt. The QS Engineer will oversee cost estimation, budgeting, and cost control throughout the entire project lifecycle. Daily tasks include preparing cost reports, evaluating contractor performance, conducting feasibility assessments, and managing procurement processes. Additionally, the QS Engineer will liaise with clients, architects, and contractors to ensure alignment with project goals and compliance with timelines and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Strong Communication and collaboration skills with the ability to interact effectively with team members, clients, and contractors
  • Analytical skills for cost estimation, financial management, and problem-solving in project execution
  • Proficiency in Project Management, including planning, execution, and monitoring project progress
  • Technical expertise in Mechanical Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering for construction-related tasks
  • Detail-oriented with a strong understanding of budgets, timelines, and compliance requirements
  • Proficiency in using relevant software and tools, including project management and cost estimation software
  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field
  • Prior experience in construction or fit-out projects is highly advantageous
  • 1-3 years of experience
