Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented QA Analyst (Egyptian Arabic) to perform quality validation on audio utterances for AI speech data projects. The ideal candidate should have Egyptian Arabic as mother tongue with a strong understanding of linguistic nuances, pronunciation, and natural conversational flow.
Key Responsibilities
- Verify that recorded audio matches the provided transcription exactly, with no additions, omissions, or changes in meaning.
- Assess audio quality, ensuring recordings are free from background noise, distortion, echo, overlapping speech, or other technical issues.
- Evaluate speech delivery for clarity, natural tone, appropriate pacing, and authentic conversational style.
- Confirm authentic Egyptian Arabic pronunciationfree from mixing with other Arabic dialects or influence from other accents.
- Identify and reject audio containing non-speech elements (laughter, coughing, mic noise) or unnecessary fillers/hesitations unless contextually required.
- Apply established quality standards consistently across all evaluations and document clear, concise rationales for rejections.
- Participate in regular calibration and alignment sessions to maintain high inter-rater reliability and ensure consistency across the QA team.
Qualifications
- Mother tongue -level proficiency in Egyptian Arabic (spoken and comprehension).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify subtle errors in pronunciation and transcription alignment.
- Previous experience in linguistic QA, audio validation, or localization projects preferred.
- Familiarity with speech data collection or annotation platforms is a plus.
- Reliable internet connection and ability to meet project deadlines independently.
