As part of our organizational growth, Gulf Hills Contracting LLC is seeking a highly competent QA/QC Engineer to join our technical and site execution teams and ensure full compliance with project specifications, regulatory requirements, and internal quality management systems.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

The QA/QC Engineer will play a critical role in ensuring that all construction activities, materials, workmanship, and documentation strictly comply with approved standards, codes, and contract requirements.

The successful candidate must possess strong technical knowledge, deep understanding of QA/QC procedures, and the ability to coordinate effectively with consultants, subcontractors, and internal departments.

Key responsibilities include preparing and maintaining quality control documentation, reviewing drawings and specifications, conducting inspections, verifying materials and workmanship, coordinating with laboratories, handling NCRs and SORs, and ensuring adherence to inspection and test plans (ITPs), method statements, and project quality plans.

This role requires attention to detail, strong reporting skills, and the ability to work under dynamic site conditions with multiple stakeholders.

QUALIFICATION

Academic Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (mandatory).
• Additional certifications in Quality Management (ISO, QA/QC courses) are an advantage.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of UAE experience with reputable main contracting companies.
• Proven experience in QA/QC roles within building, infrastructure, residential, or mixed-use projects.
• Strong experience in coordinating with consultants and authorities for approvals, inspections, and compliance matters.

TECHNICAL & PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES

QA/QC Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of ITPs, Method Statements, and Project Quality Plans.
• Ability to review and interpret IFC drawings, specifications, and material submittals.
• Experience in raising and closing NCRs, SORs, and quality-related site observations.
• Competency in verifying material compliance, conducting inspections, and supervising testing activities with accredited laboratories.
• Ability to perform audits, surveillance, and quality walkdowns.
• Familiarity with concrete works, reinforcement inspection, blockwork, waterproofing, finishing works, and MEP interface coordination.

Documentation & Reporting

• Preparation of QA/QC logs, inspection reports, MIRs, WIRs, material tracking sheets, and compliance records.
• Ability to maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation for consultant and authority submissions.
• Strong reporting skills, including weekly and monthly QA/QC summaries and dashboards.

Standards & Compliance

• Knowledge of international standards (ASTM, BS, ACI, AASHTO).
• Understanding of UAE regulations and authority requirements (Dubai Municipality, Trakhees, RAK Municipality, etc.).
• Strong command of safety and quality interface procedures.

Software Skills

• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with platforms such as Aconex or similar document management systems.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

• Fluent in English written and spoken.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict inspection timelines.
• Willingness to travel to other Emirates or relocate based on project needs.
• Must be available to join within one month.
