Hard Services Supervisor
Job Purpose
Supervise and coordinate Hard Services operations to ensure the reliable, safe, and efficient delivery of MEP and civil maintenance services across assigned facilities. The role focuses on leading technicians, organizing daily activities, enforcing standards and procedures, and supporting uninterrupted facility operations while maintaining quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Key Accountabilities
- Supervise and coordinate Hard Services teams to ensure planned and reactive maintenance activities are completed efficiently, safely, and within agreed service levels.
- Plan daily and weekly work schedules to optimize manpower, tools, and materials, ensuring effective utilization of available resources.
- Oversee the execution of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, low current, ICT, and civil maintenance works to ensure compliance with approved methods and quality standards.
- Prepare job environments and method statements to support work permits and ensure safe execution of maintenance and minor project works.
- Inspect completed works to verify workmanship quality, system functionality, and compliance with operational and safety requirements.
- Monitor inventory levels and initiate timely replenishment to ensure uninterrupted maintenance operations.
- Support commissioning and handover of new installations to ensure systems are operational, documented, and ready for use.
- Analyze team performance and operational issues, preparing reports and recommending corrective actions to improve service delivery and efficiency.
Role Requirements
Qualifications & Education
Essential:
- Technical Diploma (minimum 3 years) in Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC, or related engineering discipline
- Basic proficiency in written and spoken English
Preferable:
- Additional vocational certifications related to building services or facilities maintenance
Experience
Essential:
- Minimum 5 of experience in hard services operation and maintenance
- At least 3 years in a supervisory role within building facilities or FM environments
Preferable:
- Experience in small to medium-sized FM projects or multi-building facilities
Training
Essential:
- Health & Safety awareness training
- PPE usage and site safety procedures
Preferable:
- Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) systems training
- Electrical systems maintenance training
Specialized Knowledge & Skills
Essential:
- Practical knowledge of MEP systems including electrical distribution, HVAC, pumps, piping networks, and RO systems
- Ability to read drawings, schedules, and method statements
- Basic computer literacy (CMMS, MS Excel, reporting tools)
- Strong planning and coordination skills
Preferable:
- Familiarity with FM reporting systems and work order management
- Basic commissioning and testing knowledge
