Role Description
Essential Duties & Accountabilities
1. Toll Manufacturing & Technical Operations:
- Oversee daily toll manufacturing activities to ensure production follows approved specifications, SOPs, and GMP standards.
- Conduct and review In-Process Control (IPC) checks during batching, filling, and packing stages.
- Ensure packaging components and raw materials meet quality and regulatory requirements before use.
- Monitor change controls, deviations, and corrective actions in toll plants.
2. Quality Control & Documentation:
- Review and approve COAs (Certificates of Analysis) for raw materials, bulk, and finished goods.
- Issue, track, and close NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) with root cause analysis and CAPA.
- Ensure batch records, QC test results, and production documents meet regulatory, GMP, and company standards.
- Support QA in maintaining product specifications and stability data.
3. Supplier & Procurement Quality Support:
- Work with procurement to evaluate and approve suppliers based on quality performance and audit outcomes.
- Track supplier KPIs, quality complaints, OTIF delivery, and COA compliance.
- Participate in vendor qualification audits and recommend continuous improvement plans.
4. QMS & Compliance:
- Contribute to building and improving the company's QMS in alignment with ISO / GMP requirements.
- Update and enforce SOPs, work instructions, and quality guidelines across toll manufacturers and warehouses.
- Participate in internal & external audits (ISO, GMP, customer audits, regulatory bodies).
5. Warehouse & Logistics Quality Oversight:
- Monitor warehouse storage practices, FEFO/expiry control, and temperature mapping compliance.
- Manage evaluation of returned products and disposition decisions (rework, scrap, investigation).
- Evaluate performance of 3PLs (logistics partners) including handling, documentation, traceability, and complaint rate.
Qualifications
- Minimum 35 years experience in Quality Control, Toll Manufacturing, or Quality Assurance in Cosmetics, FMCG, or pharmaceutical production.
- Strong knowledge of GMP, ISO 22716, and regulatory compliance related to personal care manufacturing.
- Experience with COA creation, batch release, NCR/CAPA, and supplier quality evaluation.
- Familiar with QMS frameworks and quality documentation structure.
- Good understanding of supply chain quality, warehousing risks, and 3PL handling standards.
- QC lab testing knowledge (physical, chemical, stability testing is a plus).
- Ability to read specifications, batch sheets, and regulatory documents.
