General Description of Role and Responsibilities:
- Review approved architectural drawings, specifications, material submittals, and method statements prior to execution on site.
- Conduct daily inspections of architectural and finishing works for villa construction projects.
- Monitor construction activities including blockwork, plastering, screeding, waterproofing, tiling, marble works, ceilings, painting, faade finishes, joinery, aluminum works, and landscaping interfaces.
- Ensure compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards, and local authority regulations.
- Review and approve Inspection Requests (IRs) related to architectural and finishing works.
- Conduct Material Inspection Requests (MIRs) to verify delivered materials match approved samples and specifications.
- Identify non-conforming works and issue Site Observation Reports (SORs) and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs); monitor corrective and preventive actions.
- Participate in mock-up inspections and ensure approvals prior to proceeding with bulk finishing works.
- Coordinate with Structural and MEP Inspectors to ensure proper sequencing and integration of architectural finishes.
- Monitor contractor performance with respect to approved Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and QA/QC procedures.
- Assist in preparing snag lists, conduct pre-handover inspections, and ensure timely rectification of defects.
- Maintain accurate inspection records and prepare periodic quality reports for submission to the Senior Resident Engineer.
- Attend progress and technical meetings with Contractors and Client representatives as required.
- Ensure compliance with Company Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager/supervisor.
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in architectural/finishing inspection and site supervision.
- Previous experience in villa or residential construction projects is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of finishing materials, installation methods, and quality standards for high-end residential works.
- Familiarity with QA/QC procedures, inspection processes, and documentation control.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to read and interpret detailed architectural drawings and specifications.
- Strong coordination and communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify quality deviations.
- Good command of written and spoken English.
