Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Inspect and monitor civil works including concrete works, formwork, reinforcement, finishing, earthworks, and structural elements.
  • Ensure works comply with approved shop drawings, method statements, ITPs, and project specifications.
  • Conduct inspections for materials delivery, storage, and usage to ensure compliance with approved materials and standards.
  • Witness and document tests such as concrete slump tests, cube tests, compaction tests, and other QA/QC activities.
  • Raise NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) when required and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
  • Coordinate with consultants, site engineers, and subcontractors during inspections and approvals.
  • Maintain proper quality records, inspection reports, checklists, and test results.
  • Support internal and external audits and ensure close-out of quality issues.
  • Ensure work complies with UAE regulations, local authority requirements, and international standards (ASTM, BS, ACI, etc.).
  • Report quality issues and progress to the QA/QC Engineer or QA/QC Manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • UAE resident
  • 37 years of experience as a Quality Inspector in construction projects (UAE experience preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of QA/QC procedures, inspection techniques, and construction standards.
  • Familiar with UAE construction codes and local authority requirements.
  • Experience working with consultants and main contractors.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and method statements.
  • Good communication and reporting skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office; experience with QA/QC documentation systems is an advantage.
  • Immediate availability or short notice is preferred.
