Job Description

Job Summary:

The Quality Manager is responsible for shaping and executing the company's quality strategy across all stages of the production lifecycle. This role ensures that every product aligns with our commitment to excellence, efficacy, and global regulatory standards, reinforcing customer trust and brand reputation.

Responsibilities

1. Quality Management System (QMS) Leadership:

  • Design, implement, and maintain an integrated QMS in compliance with international standards, particularly ISO 22716 (GMP for cosmetics) and ISO 9001.
  • Continuously review and update quality policies, SOPs, and documentation to reflect best practices and regulatory changes.

2. End-to-End Quality Oversight:

  • Oversee QA/QC processes across the full product lifecycle from raw material selection, manufacturing, in-process controls, and packaging to final product release.
  • Ensure each product meets established quality, safety, and performance standards.

3. Cross-Functional Integration:

  • Collaborate closely with Production, R&D, Regulatory Affairs, and Marketing to embed quality principles across all functions.
  • Facilitate proactive communication to align departmental goals with overall quality objectives.

4. Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Quality Assurance and Quality Control teams.
  • Promote a high-performance culture through ongoing coaching, training programs, and professional development initiatives.

5. CAPA & Complaint Management:

  • Investigate non-conformities and customer complaints using root-cause analysis techniques.
  • Drive effective Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) and track implementation to ensure sustainable solutions.

6. Audit and Regulatory Compliance:

  • Ensure audit readiness at all times for internal, external, and regulatory inspections.
  • Coordinate and lead audits, ensuring timely closure of findings with documented evidence of improvement.

7. Continuous Improvement Culture:

  • Champion initiatives to optimize quality processes, reduce waste, and increase operational efficiency.
  • Encourage innovation and drive a mindset of continuous improvement throughout the organization.

8. Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Define, track, and report on Quality KPIs (e.g., deviation rates, batch rejection, customer complaints, audit findings).
  • Analyze trends and provide actionable insights to senior leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, or a related scientific discipline (Master's degree is a plus).
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control, with at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
  • Solid background in the cosmeceutical or pharmaceutical manufacturing industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of ISO 22716 (GMP) and ISO 9001 standards and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Strong leadership abilities with a proven track record of building and managing high-performing teams.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
