This position ensures effective implementation of quality and food safety controls in the processing and adjacent area through routine monitoring, inspections, sampling, and compliance with established standards.
Description
Quality & Food Safety Operations
- Perform daily HACCP checks and ensure compliance with food safety plans.
- Conduct raw material inspections and verification.
- Monitor processing activities to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Carry out product sampling, analysis, and evaluation.
- Verify product formulation and specifications.
- Ensure proper product identification, coding, and storage conditions.
Quality Control & Compliance
- Execute hold and release procedures in coordination with production/section heads.
- Identify, report, and manage non-conforming products.
- Maintain accurate and timely quality control reports and records.
- Monitor hygiene standards and ensure GMP & GHP compliance.
- Support continuous product quality improvement initiatives.
Monitoring & Verification
- Oversee cleaning and sanitation processes.
- Ensure proper sampling practices and documentation.
- Use and maintain measuring devices (e.g., thermometers, weighing scales).
Qualifications, Experience, & Skills
Academic and professional qualifications:
- Educational degree in microbiology or food technology or biotechnology or agricultural sciences or other related field.
Experience
- 1–2 years in food manufacturing (meat processing experience is an advantage)
