About the Role: Quality officer will report to the Regional Quality Manager the Quality Program across Unilabs. This designation aims to monitor the Quality Management System and compliance with local regulations, accreditation requirements and best practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to create general policies and Quality policies as per international and local standards (CAP, ISO-15189, DOH).
  • Assist Lab Professionals towards achievements of international accreditation of CAP, ISO-15189 and other Local regulation requirements.
  • Help Supervise all Quality practices and support end-users to ensure high quality lab services.
  • Coordinate with cross functional teams.
  • Providing training or counselling on accreditation standards.
  • Improve quality, operational excellence and innovation in laboratory services in accordance with international standards, best practices and benchmarking.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day tasks of Unilabs to include investigation of complaints and assist Regional QA Manager and relevant teams on corrective action.
  • Assist Customer Support or Sales Team on relevant queries from clients.
  • Execute Quality Improvement process in effective communication, auditing and inspections through participating in Quality improvement projects for Laboratories (local and international accreditation) monitoring their KPIs, statistics, operational plans and proficiency testing reviews.
  • Work with Technical team in implementing and monitoring of internal and external quality control program.
  • Collaborate with technical and non-technical departments to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Oversees the equipment maintenance process required in the Quality Plan.
  • Provide technical guidance in creating, maintaining, and auditing manual and electronic monitoring systems for the proper maintenance of laboratory equipment in accordance with accrediting agencies and equipment manufacturers.
  • Maintain document control system to include up to date upload, revision, distribution of written procedures, forms and other related documents.
  • Assess and monitor safety practices, quality control processes, equipment management through internal audits to ensure audit or assessment readiness and compliance to regulatory and accreditation requirements.
  • Oversee safety practices across Unilabs sites and reports safety incidents.
  • Monitor and collaborate with non-technical departments to promote awareness on laboratory standards and how to comply with regulatory and accreditation agencies.
  • Generate and review key performance indicators.
  • Work or follow up with relevant department on investigating failed metrics and provide reports to the Regional Quality Manager for metrics requiring improvement.
  • Drive process improvement in the laboratory process to increase efficiency and productivity by working with technical and non-technical department to identify opportunities for improvement.

Qualifications: Bachelors Degree
