Quantity Surveying Engineer

We're seeking a Quantity Surveying Engineer to drive accurate measurements, valuations, and cost controls across our high-profile projects. This role suits early-career professionals with 25 years of QS experience in construction.

What You'll Achieve

Cost Management & Estimation

Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets from drawings, specs, and BOQs.

Build and maintain cost baselines; support value engineering proposals.

Monitor expenditures against budgets and flag potential overruns early.

Measurement & Valuation

Perform quantity take-offs and material measurements per standards (POMI/CESMM/NRM).

Prepare interim and final valuations/payment certificates for contractors and suppliers.

Assess variations/change orders, ensuring timely, accurate cost adjustments.

Contracts, Claims & Risk

Support claims preparation with solid measurement records and correspondence.

Apply contract conditions (e.g., FIDIC) and maintain compliance with policies.

Identify commercial risks/opportunities and recommend mitigation actions.

Collaboration & Reporting

Coordinate with Project Management, Planning, Procurement, and Site teams.

Produce periodic cost reports, cash-flow forecasts, and variance analyses.

Maintain organized documentation: BOQs, RFIs, variations logs, and backups.

What You'll Bring to ACC

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or related).
• 25 years as a Quantity Surveying Engineer within construction projects.
• Proficiency in Excel (pivot/lookup); working knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Experience with QS tools (CostX / PlanSwift / Candy CCS) is a strong plus.
• Familiarity with FIDIC, measurement standards (POMI/CESMM/NRM), and basic ERP flows.
• High attention to detail, analytical mindset, and clear reporting skills.
• Very good English (written and spoken).
