The project:

Mace is providing project management services on a large mixed-use regeneration development in Abu Dhabi. The site will have commercial work places and retail units along with public realm.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Conducts feasibility studies, develops procurement strategies, and prepares procurement and contract reports.

  • Leads value management activities and manages estimating and cost planning, including ownership of final cost plans.

  • Supports contractor procurement and prepares contract documents, warranties, bonds, and licenses.

  • Administers contract terms, measures works, values variations, and provides ongoing cost control and reporting.

  • Prepares financial reports, identifies all project-related costs, and evaluates contractor claims for delays or additional costs.

  • Manages practical completion, defect resolution, and negotiation of final accounts.

  • Drives continuous improvement, enhances systems and processes, and provides guidance and mentoring to junior team members.

  • Builds strong stakeholder relationships, manages stakeholders effectively, and contributes to net zero carbon initiatives.

You'll need to have:

  • Demonstrated experience working on Abu Dhabi or UAE based construction projects.

  • Degree in quantity surveying/cost management (or equivalent).

  • Professional membership or working towards i.e. MRICS/RICS (or equivalent), or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development.

  • Commercial and financial acumen.

  • Knowledge of value engineering, life cycle costing, contract law and contractual frameworks relating to construction.

  • Experience of managing parts of projects within large, diverse teams.

  • Experience of developing relationships with key senior stakeholders.
