Elliot Scott Group are currently working with a well-established Dubai-based consultancy seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor / Mid-Level Civil Engineer to join their growing project delivery team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong UAE consultancy experience who enjoys being hands-on across cost control, technical coordination, and project management on multiple construction projects.
The Role
You will play a key role in supporting project delivery across a range of developments, ensuring commercial control, compliance, and technical coordination from pre- to post-contract stages.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing and reviewing cost estimates, BOQs, and tender documentation
- Managing pre- and post-contract deliverables
- Assessing contractor variations, claims, interim valuations, and final accounts
- Monitoring project timelines and reporting on progress and deviations
- Conducting site inspections to ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications
- Supporting value engineering and cost optimisation initiatives
- Preparing detailed technical and commercial reports for clients and senior management
- Ensuring compliance with UAE regulations, local authority requirements, and FIDIC contract conditions
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering
- 57 years of UAE experience (consultancy background preferred)
- Strong knowledge of UAE construction practices and consultant-side workflows
- Solid understanding of FIDIC contracts, cost control, and variation management
- Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, and QS tools such as CostX or PlanSwift
- Strong communication and reporting skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
