We are looking for a skilled Quantity Surveyor with expertise in joinery projects to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately estimating the costs of joinery work and ensuring that projects are completed within budget.
Job Responsibility
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for joinery projects, including materials, labor, and equipment
- Analyze project plans and specifications to determine the quantity of materials required
- Collaborate with project managers and contractors to ensure cost-effective solutions
- Monitor project expenses and track progress to ensure projects stay within budget
- Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing for materials and services
- Prepare and submit progress reports and final financial reports to project stakeholders
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor working on joinery projects
- Strong knowledge of joinery materials, techniques, and industry standards
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Excel
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and meet tight deadlines
