Job Purpose:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor with 68 years of post-contract experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working with consultants, cost consultants, or developers in the UAE, with strong knowledge of local contracts, regulations, and market practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage post-contract quantity surveying activities across various projects.
- Prepare and review interim payment applications and support certification of payments to contractors.
- Conduct cost control, monitoring, and reporting throughout project life cycles.
- Assess variations, change orders, and provide commercial advice to the project team.
- Evaluate claims, prepare recommendations, and support dispute resolution if required.
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders on contractual matters.
- Prepare and manage final accounts and project close-out documentation.
- Ensure compliance with contract terms, procurement guidelines, and local regulations.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Skills
- 68 years of relevant post-contract experience in the UAE.
- Experience working with consultants, cost consultants, or developers is essential.
- Strong knowledge of FIDIC, UAE construction laws, and contract administration.
- Proficient in cost reporting, payment certifications, and variation assessments.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with quantity surveying software and tools (e.g., CostX, Excel, etc.).
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
- Experience across a variety of project types (residential, commercial, infrastructure).
- Membership in RICS or an equivalent professional body is an advantage.
