Job Description
QS / ESTIMATOR | INTERIOR FIT-OUT | DUBAI
I'm currently supporting a residential fit-out contractor in Dubai who are looking to appoint an experienced QS / Estimator to join their commercial team.
Salary: up to AED 20,000 per month
The Role
The successful candidate will have a strong background in interior fit-out and will be responsible for both pre- and post-contract commercial activities, from tender pricing and estimating through to variations, valuations and final accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate tenders, BOQs and detailed cost estimates
- Carry out quantity take-offs from drawings and site measurements
- Analyse drawings, specifications and project requirements
- Obtain, review and compare supplier and subcontractor quotations
- Prepare detailed pricing and tender submissions
- Monitor project costs and commercial performance
- Manage variations, claims and additional works
- Prepare interim payment applications
- Manage subcontractor valuations and payments
- Assist with final accounts and project close-out
- Maintain accurate cost reports and commercial documentation
- Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers and subcontractors
- Provide commercial input throughout the project lifecycle
Requirements:
- 5–10 years experience as a QS or Estimator within Dubai fit-out/construction
- Strong interior/residential fit-out experience
- Proven experience in tender pricing and estimating
- Strong knowledge of BOQs and quantity take-offs
- Good understanding of UAE material and labour rates
- Experience managing variations, claims and final accounts
- Experience with interim payment applications and subcontractor valuations
- Strong commercial and negotiation skills
- Excellent communication skills with clients, consultants and subcontractors
