Job Description

Develop and implement research strategies to enhance crop yield, quality, and sustainability
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify research priorities and goals
Conduct field trials, experiments, and data collection to assess the feasibility and impact of new technologies and methodologies
Stay abreast of the latest advancements in agricultural technology and recommend their integration into farm operations
Evaluate and adopt precision farming technologies, IoT solutions, and data analytics tools to optimize resource utilization
Lead efforts in crop breeding, genetic enhancement, and disease resistance
Develop and implement sustainable farming practices to minimize environmental impact
Investigate and promote alternative energy sources and environmentally friendly farming techniques
Manage the R&D team practices, ensuring cost-effective research practices

Requirements

Minimum of a bachelor's degree in agriculture, Agronomy, Plant Science, or a related field.
Proven experience in agricultural research and development, with at least 5 years in a managerial role
Familiarity with modern farming technologies and precision agriculture
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent project management and organizational abilities
Effective communication and collaboration skills
In-depth understanding of agronomy, crop science, and genetics
Familiarity with sustainable farming practices and environmental regulations
