Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to determine appropriate radiation therapy treatment plans
- Administer radiation treatments and monitor patient responses throughout therapy
- Collaborate with medical oncologists, surgical oncologists, and other healthcare professionals in developing comprehensive care plans
- Provide education and support to patients and families regarding treatment options, side effects, and coping strategies
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with health regulations and standards
- Stay abreast of advancements in radiation oncology and participate in continuing medical education
- Engage in clinical research and contribute to quality improvement initiatives in the department
Requirements
- M.D. or equivalent degree from an accredited medical school with specialized training in Radiation Oncology
- Board certification in Radiation Oncology is highly preferred
- Active medical license to practice in the jurisdiction
- Significant experience in radiation therapy and management of oncological patients
- Proficient understanding of advanced radiation techniques and imaging technologies
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within interdisciplinary teams
