Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to determine appropriate radiation therapy treatment plans
  • Administer radiation treatments and monitor patient responses throughout therapy
  • Collaborate with medical oncologists, surgical oncologists, and other healthcare professionals in developing comprehensive care plans
  • Provide education and support to patients and families regarding treatment options, side effects, and coping strategies
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with health regulations and standards
  • Stay abreast of advancements in radiation oncology and participate in continuing medical education
  • Engage in clinical research and contribute to quality improvement initiatives in the department

Requirements

  • M.D. or equivalent degree from an accredited medical school with specialized training in Radiation Oncology
  • Board certification in Radiation Oncology is highly preferred
  • Active medical license to practice in the jurisdiction
  • Significant experience in radiation therapy and management of oncological patients
  • Proficient understanding of advanced radiation techniques and imaging technologies
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within interdisciplinary teams
  • Commitment to compassionate patient care and ongoing professional development
