Quantity Survey leads and manages the Quantity Surveying function across assigned projects, ensuring accurate cost planning, effective cost control, proper contract administration, and financial reporting. The role provides strategic guidance to ensure project profitability, risk mitigation, and adherence to contractual and budgetary constraints.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop cost control strategies and oversee their implementation across all ongoing projects.
- Supervise the preparation, review, and validation of BOQs, cost estimates, and pricing for tender and execution stages.
- Review and resolve discrepancies between BOQs, drawings, and specifications through coordination with consultants and clients.
- Approve and monitor variation orders, cost claims, and contractual deviations with timely reporting.
- Manage and mentor the QS team to ensure high-quality deliverables and continuous professional development.
- Coordinate with the Planning, Procurement, and Site teams to align cost data with actual project progress.
- Represent the QS function in commercial and contractual meetings with clients, consultants, and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with contract standards (e.g., FIDIC) and internal governance.
- Develop periodic cost performance reports and dashboards for executive management.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in civil or architectural engineering.
- 12+ years of relevant experience in quantity surveying, with a minimum of 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
- Proven experience in large-scale construction projects is essential.
- Railway project experience is preferable.
- Background in both Tendering and Execution phases is a plus.
- On-site experience and contract negotiation exposure are a plus.
