Job Description

Job Title - Recruitment Specialist

Direct Reporting :Manager - Talent Acquisition

  • Job Purpose Responsible for the recruitment and selection process for the organization.
  • Coordinate and provide assistance related to recruitment activities for both local and with overseas.

Major Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities

1. Sources suitable candidates using various channels such as job portals, recruitment agencies, social media, headhunting, and employee referrals in alignment with approved job descriptions

2. Screens and shortlists potential candidates by reviewing CVs and conducting preliminary assessments to ensure alignment with job requirements and business unit expectations

3. Prepare weekly, monthly and annual reports on staffing levels and recruitment projects.

4. Develop and manage CV database.

5. Coordinate process with Government relations dept./passage & communication/ administration for all new recruits.

6. Interact with divisional heads; guide them on selection and interviewing techniques.

7. Meet walk-in candidates.

8. Ensure all recruitment activities are in line with the Corporate Policies & Procedure.

9. Establish a recruitment budget with respect to the manpower plan, covering all business units of the corporation and advise strategies to achieve recruitment targets speedily and cost effectively.

10. Negotiate & draw up service level agreement with service providers and ensure these are utilized effectively.

11. Aim towards minimum lead-time in the process from vacancy identification to actual recruitment.

12. Discuss with Business unit heads the manpower needs and process requirements after obtaining management approval.

13. Design and implement systems, approaches and procedures to facilitate recruitment while ensuring better control over costs and quality.

14. Screen CVs, shortlist potential candidates, conduct preliminary interviews - personal as well as telephonic.

15. Identify and engage reputed recruitment agencies/ web-based recruitment portals to meet the manpower requirements.

16. Coordinate the selection process, explain remuneration packages and obtain candidate's acceptance/commitment to join.

17. Take necessary steps for closing the position and ensure that selected candidates take up assignment within a specific time,

18. Trains and guides junior recruitment team members on sourcing techniques, screening methods, and recruitment best practices to ensure a consistent and effective hiring process.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Knowledge / Skills -Excellent Communication skills in English.

-Effective time management skills.

-Excellent knowledge of Microsoft office incl. PowerPoint, Excel, Word, MS project.

-Ability to work under pressure & handle high volume of work simultaneously.

Education Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration or equivalent.

Certifications Certifications in CIPD, HR Preferred

Experience A minimum of 5 years of experience in recruitment. GCC experience is essential -

preferable in Qatar.
