About the Role
A major technology services provider is seeking an experienced Area Data Centre Manager to lead multisite data centre operations across the UAE. This senior leadership role oversees 24/7 operations, critical infrastructure, facility management, compliance, and team leadership to ensure operational resilience, uptime, client satisfaction, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop Data Centre Managers and engineering teams across multiple sites.
- Oversee 24/7 data centre operations, maintenance, lifecycle management, and capacity planning.
- Ensure governance and consistency of SOPs/MOPs/EOPs and risk frameworks.
- Act as senior escalation authority for major incidents.
- Manage critical electrical & mechanical infrastructure ensuring uptime and reliability.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, landlords, and authorities.
- Ensure full compliance with UAE regulations, safety requirements, and data centre standards.
- Drive operational excellence through KPIs, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
- 10+ years in data centre or critical facilities operations.
- 5+ years in senior/multisite management.
- Deep expertise in:
- Data centre electrical and mechanical systems
- Large scale power distribution systems
- Commissioning and operation of critical infrastructure
- Vendor management and governance
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems (HV/LV), UPS, generators, ATS/STS, switchgear, PDUs.
- Proven experience with largescale technical environments requiring high uptime.
