Job Summary:
As the Regional Sales Lead - ME you'll drive growth and create meaningful impact within the MiddleEast, North Africa and Turkey markets. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of fluid management solutions in a dynamic, global marketplace.
As a key player within the EMEA Sales team, you will grow the revenue footprint of your emerging region, through well researched business development, sales and market segmentation efforts efforts and setting the vision for sustainable growth across the ME region. Key Responsibilities:
- Regional Sales Strategy Development: Leverage deep market knowledge and insights into evolving trends to develop a regional strategy focused on long-term, sustainable expansion
- P&L Responsibility for Your Region: Drive and manage the Profit & Loss for your region by setting ambitious revenue and profit targets. Utilize your strong sales acumen to develop and implement strategic sales plans, ensuring your team consistently meets and exceeds these targets.
- Direct Management and Involvement with Strategic Customers: Serve as the primary representative of Watson Marlow in your region, building and maintaining strong relationships with our most important accounts. Engage directly with key customers to understand their needs, provide tailored solutions, and ensure their satisfaction.
- Business Development: Lead business development efforts within the specified region, contributing to the creation of strategic plans aimed at identifying market opportunities, strengthening customer relationships, and driving sustainable growth.
- Leadership and Team Performance: Provide strategic vision and operational direction to your regional sales team, acting as a leader, coach, and advisor. Track performance against key metrics to ensure targets are consistently met or exceeded.
- Market Research and Competitor Analysis: Conduct thorough market research and competitor analysis to develop strategies that drive favourable business outcomes.
- Sales Pipeline Management: Implement structured planning and reporting for the sales pipeline, including accurate forecasting and ensuring the CRM system is consistently updated with current information.
- Driving Total Customer Solutions: Drive Total Customer Solutions in alignment with the Watson-Marlow group strategy, fostering collaboration across central and group teams.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional departments (e.g. Finance and Customer Experience) to ensure seamless customer experiences, successful project delivery, and business growth.
- Product and Service Innovation: Identify and pursue opportunities to enhance product and service offerings, contributing to innovation and customer satisfaction.
- Market Entry Strategies: Define routes to market and entry requirements for new markets and applications for Watson-Marlow products.
- Marketing Collaboration: Work closely with local, regional, and global marketing teams to develop and execute targeted regional marketing strategies.
- Global Representation: Represent the company globally by attending customer meetings, conferences, and exhibitions. Travel to other Group facilities may also be required to support regional networks and activities related to organic business growth.
- Championing Company Values: Uphold and champion core company values, fostering a culture centred on safety, collaboration, customer focus, excellence, and respect to drive exceptional results.
Skills/Experience:
- BSc or MSc in a STEM or business-related field, or equivalent experience in a relevant commercial role
- Strong customer knowledge and technical experience across the Process or Life Sciences markets, Expert knowledge of local market trends and competitors within our markets is a must
- Proven success across sales strategy, business development and key account management within the ME region.
- Strong commercial acumen with a track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets and business goals through both leadership and strategic planning.
- Proven experience leading high performing operational sales teams, experience managing teams across multiple countries would be beneficial.
- Strong understanding of the consultative sales process, ideally working with a multinational manufacturer.
- Fluent English, knowledge of the local languages in your region are seen as an asset
