COMPANY OVERVIEW
A leading FMCG food manufacturing group in Saudi Arabia, part of a large and well-established regional industrial conglomerate operating across the Gulf and Middle East.
The company is known for international quality standards, state-of-the-art production facilities, and a strong retail distribution network delivering bakery and confectionery products to thousands of retail outlets daily across KSA.
As part of rapid expansion, the organization is strengthening its retail sales leadership team across Saudi Arabia.
ROLE PURPOSE
The Regional Sales Manager will lead and drive regional retail sales operations, ensuring revenue growth, market expansion, customer satisfaction, and strong execution across routes, depots, and sales teams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
SALES & BUSINESS GROWTH
Manage regional sales forecasting and set aggressive yet achievable performance targets
Drive sales growth through effective retail penetration and client base expansion
Meet and negotiate with key retail customers and strategic accounts
Support and coach sales teams to close high-value deals
SALES OPERATIONS & REPORTING
Prepare periodic sales reports covering volumes, trends, growth opportunities, and risks
Analyze regional sales performance against targets and budgets
Control and optimize retail sales expenditures to meet budget requirements
CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE & RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT
Reduce customer complaints and maintain the highest level of customer satisfaction
Strengthen long-term relationships with retailers, distributors, and key partners
INTERNAL COORDINATION
Coordinate with internal departments to ensure accurate delivery schedules
Manage sales contracts and proposals in compliance with company policies
Liaise with ICT teams regarding handheld devices (HHT), system updates, databases, and reporting
ROUTE, DEPOT & FIELD MANAGEMENT
Plan, optimize, and manage retail sales routes (creation, merging, and closure of unprofitable routes)
Supervise depots and retail outlets within the region
Conduct regular site visits and performance evaluations
Ensure compliance with company standards across operations
ASSET & COMPLIANCE MANAGEMENT
Monitor cleanliness and appearance of sales vehicles in line with company policies
Ensure disciplined execution of retail operations and field activities
IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field
56 years of experience as an Area Sales Manager
FMCG / Bakery industry experience strongly preferred
Prior KSA market experience is highly preferred
Strong knowledge of retail sales strategies and route-to-market execution
Expertise in sales tools, forecasting, and performance analysis
Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills
