Job Description

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing and driving sales operations within a designated region, managing Sales Supervisors, and ensuring effective distribution through distributors to wholesale and retail customers. The role focuses on achieving regional sales targets, optimizing distributor performance, and developing strategies to grow market share while ensuring team alignment with business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Regional Sales Strategy and Target Achievement:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies for the region to meet revenue, volume, and profitability targets.
  • Oversee the execution of sales plans by Sales Supervisors and ensure alignment with company objectives.
  • Identify growth opportunities in the region and develop action plans to capture them.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead, coach, and motivate Sales Supervisors to achieve their targets and improve overall team performance.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide actionable feedback.
  • Identify training needs and develop skill-building programs for the sales team.

Distributor Management and Performance Optimization:

  • Analyze regional market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to inform sales strategies.
  • Provide market insights to senior management for strategic decision-making.
  • Monitor pricing strategies and recommend adjustments to maintain competitiveness.

Market Analysis and Competitive Intelligence:

  • Analyze regional market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to inform sales strategies.

Reporting and Forecasting:

  • Oversee the preparation of regional sales reports and ensure accuracy in sales forecasting.
  • Track the performance of Sales Supervisors and distributors against key metrics.
  • Provide senior management with timely updates on regional sales performance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business Administration or any relevant.
  • 68 years of sales experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role, preferably in FMCG or retail sectors.
  • Proven experience in managing distributor networks and driving sales growth.
  • Strong understanding of wholesale and retail distribution channels.
  • Familiarity with regional market dynamics and consumer behavior.
  • Egyptian Retail & Wholesale Market in FMCG
  • Ability to inspire and lead a diverse team toward achieving ambitious sales goals.
  • Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving skills to analyze data and address regional sales challenges.
  • Sales planning and forecasting.
  • Proficiency in ERP or CRM tools (e.g., SAP, Salesforce).
  • Reporting and analysis using Microsoft Excel or similar tools.
  • Understanding of inventory and stock management principles.
