We're looking for driven Relationship Manager to engage with our Chinese client segment. The Relationship Manager is responsible for managing and expanding a highvalue portfolio of SME and commercial clients across both liability and asset products, with a strong focus on structured trade finance solutions such as letters of credit, bank guarantees, supply chain financing, working capital loans, and commercial loans. This role centers on building deep, trusted client relationships, understanding business needs, and delivering tailored financial solutions that enhance liquidity and operational efficiency. By proactively onboarding new highvalue clients, strengthening existing relationships, and driving crosssell opportunities, the Relationship Manager plays a key role in increasing the bank's liability book, optimizing credit quality, and delivering exceptional service to maximize overall profitability.
What You Will Be Doing
- Build and nurture strong relationships with SME clients by understanding their trade cycles, working capital needs, and overall business priorities.
- Analyze client cash flow patterns and recommend customized working capital optimization strategies.
- Manage and expand a highvalue SME portfolio, consistently delivering on annual business and revenue targets.
- Conduct deepdive assessments of clients business models, financial structures, and industry dynamics to offer tailored banking solutions.
- Identify client growth potential and strategically enhance the bank's wallet share across assigned relationships.
- Spot crossselling opportunities for SME products such as POS Lending, Asset-Backed Lending, Supply Chain Finance, and Cash Management solutions.
- Drive portfolio profitability while maintaining high credit standards and sound risk management practices.
- Prepare robust credit proposals, supported by detailed financial analysis and risk evaluation.
- Monitor client portfolio health, detect early warning signals, and proactively implement risk mitigation actions.
- Collaborate closely with Credit, Operations, and Compliance teams to ensure smooth onboarding, documentation, and service delivery.
- Resolve client queries promptly, ensuring exceptional service quality and strong relationship retention.
- Stay updated on market trends and regulatory changes, leveraging insights to advise clients and identify new business opportunities.
What You Should Have
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA or CFA preferred)
- 710 years of experience in SME Banking, including Acquisitions, business development and relationship management.
- Proven track record of closing SME deals and managing complex credit relationships in the UAE or GCC region
- Fluent Mandarin/English speaking and writing
