The Relationship Officer will play a crucial role in achieving the Bancassurance Life department's financial goals. They will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs, and offering tailored solutions. This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a results-driven mindset to meet and exceed sales targets.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Ensure full compliance with all internal policies, procedures, standards, and reporting requirements, as well as relevant regulatory and statutory obligations.
  • Consistently achieve and exceed assigned targets.
  • Maintain strong awareness of competitor product offerings and proactively recommend improvements to enhance existing processes.
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback to the Relationship Manager to support the achievement of business objectives.
  • Ensure that the bank's service standards are met and maintained at all times, delivering a superior customer experience.
  • Conduct all insurance sales with integrity, transparency, and in good faith, ensuring customers best interests are prioritized.
  • Ensure all customer requests are addressed and processed within the defined TAT.
  • Submit errorfree applications with 100% accuracy to ensure smooth downstream processing.
  • Coordinate effectively with Bancassurance Coordinators to ensure seamless processing of application forms.
  • Fully comply with all Policy Guidelines and the Bank's Code of Conduct.
  • Adhere strictly to HR guidelines and maintain professional discipline at all times.
  • Sustain high productivity levels throughout the financial year in line with business expectations.
  • Ensure strict adherence to SLA/TAT requirements as outlined in operational procedures.
  • Manage and restrict individual clawback levels within the mandated targets for the financial year.
  • Maximize the sale of Bancassurance products by promoting SemiAnnual and Annual premium payment modes.

What You Should Have

  • University degree or equivalent qualification
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a Sales environment
  • Good knowledge of RAKBANK retail products

  • Knowledge of banking and insurance products RAK Bank and Competitive products of other banks
  • Identify any cross sell opportunities in other business divisions of the bank through which Bancassurance products can be sold

Responsibilities

  • Meet and exceed defined financial targets for Bancassurance.
  • Promote and cross-sell other bank products as mandated by the bank's strategy.
  • Develop and execute effective sales and marketing strategies to attract new clients and retain existing ones.
  • Build and maintain a strong network of relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to identify new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the Bancassurance Life team to ensure a seamless customer experience and efficient sales processes.
  • Provide regular reports and updates on sales performance, highlighting areas of improvement and success.
  • Conduct market research and analyze customer data to identify target audiences and tailor marketing efforts.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and internal policies in all sales and relationship management activities.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a sales or relationship management role, preferably in the banking or insurance industry.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and a strong understanding of the Bancassurance Life market.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities, with a results-oriented mindset.
  • Proficiency in using CRM systems and other sales-related software.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a diverse portfolio of clients.
  • Analytical skills to interpret data and make informed business decisions.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing market conditions and bank strategies.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory, with proficiency in other languages being an advantage.
