Job Overview
The Rental Agent is the face of the Sixt car rental business, responsible for assisting customers with reservations, rentals, and inquiries while delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers professionally and assist them in selecting the best vehicle to meet their needs.
- Explain rental terms, insurance policies, and optional add-ons (e.g., GPS, child seats).
- Process rental agreements, extensions, and payments accurately and efficiently.
- Address customer queries, resolve complaints, and escalate issues when necessary.
- Upsell additional services and products to enhance customer experience and drive revenue.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer and transaction records in the CRM system.
- Coordinate with the Fleet Controller to ensure vehicle availability and readiness.
- Inspect vehicles with customers during pickup and return, documenting any damages.
- Uphold company values throughout business practices and utilise sound judgment in decision making.
- Any other additional duties as may be required by management based on needs of the business.
Requirements
- Minimum 13 years of experience in customer-facing roles, preferably in car rental or hospitality.
- Previous experience in customer service or sales
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with rental software is a plus
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
