KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Clinical Duties
- Recruits subjects to participate in research projects following specific inclusion/exclusion criteria.
- Participates in the development of and obtaining structured diagnostic interviews.
- Interview subjects, using structured interviews, to gather a variety of medical and psychiatric information.
- May handle blood samples from human subjects as required.
- Transfer research data from paper formats or EP records to digital form (Excel of SPSS).
- Review and compare the source documents with electronic input to ensure accuracy.
- Prepares and maintains detailed records, logs and summary reports of all procedures and results including graphs, scientific calculations and statistical analysis.
- Assist in the preparation and/or review of research documentation (e.g. for grant applications, research approval, research and conference papers).
Educational Duties
- Conducts literature search and reviews using the various mainframe and scientific platforms.
- Attends regular journal club meetings to present, discuss and evaluate current scientific literature.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE and SKILLS:
Academic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Social Science, Psychology, Nursing or health related field.
Experience Requirements:
- 2 years prior experience in research related field responsibilities that could be academicals or clinical (either as part of educational programs or during professional employment) or health related field.
- Prior sourcing experience in the Arabian Gulf region.
- Prior experience in a multi-cultural working environment.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time efficiently.
- Excellent English (written and spoken) skills are essential.
- Excellent Arabic (written and spoken) skills.
- Microsoft Office suite
- Other software as appropriate to field of research.
