Job Description
The Center for Astrophysics and Space Science at New York University Abu Dhabi, seeks to recruit a research assistant to work at the center's Mars Research Group and assist with our efforts to study the atmosphere and surface of Mars with the UAE's Emirates Mars Mission (EMM) - Hope probe.
The successful applicant will assist with the analysis of EMM data in addition to data from other missions, run simulations on NYUAD's HPC system, and assist with preparing manuscripts and presentations. The candidate will work in a multidisciplinary environment consisting of scientists and students.
Applicants must have a bachelor's degree in Physics, Computer Science or related discipline but preference will be given to Master's degree holders. Expertise in Python and experience with Machine Learning is highly desirable.
