The Gas Processing Center (GPC) at the College of Engineering, Qatar University, is seeking highly qualified individuals for the position of Assistant/Associate/ full Research Professor. The ideal candidate must hold a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering and have research experience in one of the following related fields: (1) Process Modeling, Simulation, and Optimization, (2) CO2 Capture, Conversion, Utilization, and Management, (3) Water Processes and Desalination, or (4) Alternative and Clean Energy. The successful candidate will contribute to enhancing the capacity and expertise of the research center in these focus areas. The candidate is also expected to expected to foster strong collaborations with stakeholders, including industry partners, and lead efforts in consultation, training, and technology development. A proven track record of impactful research, evidenced by high-quality publications and competitive research funding, is essential. The center is seeking a highly motivated, collaborative, and team-oriented individual who is committed to advancing research, teaching, and training activities, supporting the mission and vision of the research group. The Gas Processing Center (GPC) is a state-of-the-art research hub that combines high-level academic and industrial expertise and facilities to address major challenges related to the energy industry. A consortium of Qatari and international companies that are active in the Oil and Gas sector sponsors the center and most of the research areas and training activities of the center are developed in consultation with the consortium members. GPC conducts research and development in areas that are of great importance to the consortium members and provides pilot plants for scalable trials of numerous processes. GPC is the only Research Center in the region that focuses on Gas Processing Research and houses several industrial pilot plants.
