Job Summary
We are looking for a highly motivated and driven Retail Leasing Manager to join Cushman & Wakefield Core's Property Management team. The role is focused on supporting the Head of Retail in overseeing the leasing of various retail projects. The retail leasing manager will be responsible for identifying and prospecting potential tenants for leasing retail spaces, assisting in developing strategies and negotiating leases with targeted prospects.
Responsibilities of the role:
- Collaboration: Working closely with property management, marketing, and finance teams to align leasing efforts with overall business goals
- Reporting and Analysis: Preparing regular reports on leasing activities, occupancy rates, and market conditions for upper management.
- Leasing Strategy Development: Assist in developing and implementing effective leasing strategies to maximise occupancy rates.
- Lease Negotiation: Drafting, negotiating, and finalising lease agreements to ensure favourable terms for the company.
- Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with tenants, brokers, and property owners.
- Tenant Prospecting: Identifying and reaching out to potential tenants to fill available retail spaces.
- Property Tours: Organising and conducting property tours for prospective tenants to showcase available spaces.
- Tenant Support: Providing ongoing support to tenants, addressing inquiries, and resolving issues related to leasing.
- Market Analysis: Conducting thorough market research to identify trends and opportunities for leasing.
- Compliance Oversight: Ensuring all leasing activities comply with legal standards and company policies.
- Budget Management: Assisting in the development and management of budgets related to leasing activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, real estate, finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in retail leasing, commercial real estate, or property management.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with tenants, brokers, and stakeholders.
- Ability to analyze market trends, financial reports, and leasing data.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with tenants and industry professionals.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Familiarity with property management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong problem-solving abilities to address tenant concerns and operational challenges.
- High level of attention to detail in lease documentation and compliance.
- Ability to network and build connections within the real estate community.
- Strong proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, R, Python) and visualization software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills, with a proven ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present findings clearly to various audiences.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
- Knowledge of commercial real estate market dynamics and trends is a plus.
