Our client is a region retailer with multiple household brands within their portfolio. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing premium brand expanding significantly across the GCC.
The Merchandising Manager is responsible for defining and executing the optimal product assortment across direct-to-consumer channels, both online and offline, while maximizing margins through effective inventory and pricing management. The role oversees end-to-end merchandise strategy, ensuring alignment with brand positioning, market trends, and commercial performance. Acting as a category expert within the sportswear/fashion segment, the manager translates sales, margin, and stock insights into actionable growth opportunities.
This role involves close collaboration with internal stakeholders including Marketing, Finance, Logistics, IT, Retail, and E‑commerce, as well as external brand partners, to manage the full merchandise lifecycle—from product launches to replenishment and markdown strategies. Regular store visits and market monitoring are required to identify competitive trends, operational challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
Key responsibilities include assortment planning, budgeting, open-to-buy management, inventory forecasting, sell-through analysis, and stock health optimization across channels. The role also defines discount and promotional strategies at product level and supports marketing initiatives to drive demand in underperforming categories.
The Merchandising Manager leads and develops a team of buyers, planners, and supply chain resources, ensuring clear KPIs, strong performance management, and continuous capability development in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
