Role Overview
The Retail Sales Manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth across all retail touchpoints including in-house travel desks, hotel concierge partnerships, mall kiosks and attraction-based sales counters. The role will focus on maximizing conversion, increasing average transaction value and ensuring consistent promotion of strategic destination products, tours and experiences in alignment with company and partner objectives.
This position requires strong commercial acumen, team leadership capabilities and the ability to influence frontline sales behaviour in a highly competitive retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage and mentor retail sales teams across multiple locations to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
- Drive the active promotion and prioritization of strategic destination products including theme parks, attractions, tours and experiential offerings.
- Monitor daily sales performance, conversion ratios and productivity across all retail sales desks.
- Implement structured sales techniques and upselling strategies to enhance guest spend per transaction.
- Ensure all team members maintain up-to-date product knowledge across company portfolio and partner offerings.
- Conduct regular product training sessions, sales coaching and performance reviews for frontline teams.
- Work closely with strategic partners and attraction stakeholders to align on commercial priorities and sales focus areas.
- Maintain high visual merchandising and brand representation standards across all retail touchpoints.
- Analyze sales trends, market insights and guest preferences to identify revenue growth opportunities.
- Develop and execute retail incentive programs to motivate sales teams and improve performance.
- Ensure compliance with contractual commitments towards partners and destination management authorities.
- Provide weekly and monthly performance reports to senior management with actionable insights.
Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Hospitality, Tourism or related field.
- Minimum 57 years of experience in retail sales management within travel, tourism, hospitality or attractions sector.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets in a multi-location retail environment.
- Strong leadership, coaching and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent understanding of destination-based experiential products.
- Ability to analyze data and translate insights into commercial actions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in CRM and retail sales reporting tools.
- Valid Driving License.
- Multilingual - Arabic, Russian language is plus.
Preferred Experience
- Experience managing hotel-based travel desks or concierge partnerships.
- Exposure to theme park and attraction ticket sales.
- Background in DMC or inbound tourism operations within the UAE market.
