Job Purpose
Responsible for driving the overall retail sales performance of the assigned automotive brand. The role ensures achievement of sales volume, revenue, margin, and customer experience targets while maintaining brand standards across all retail touchpoints. The position oversees vehicle stock management, sales team capability, retail execution, and coordination with marketing to grow market share and strengthen brand presence.
Responsibilities:
- Retail Sales Performance & Strategy Execution
- Implement the brand retail sales strategy in alignment with targets set by the Sales management.
- Consolidate showroom sales plans into a unified brand performance roadmap.
- Monitor sales performance across all showrooms, ensuring achievement of volume, revenue, and margin targets.
- Provide support and escalation for complex or high-value deals when required.
- Showroom & Team Leadership
- Lead, coach, and performance-manage Showroom Managers to ensure consistent execution of sales standards.
- Cascade sales targets, KPIs, and priorities from the Sales management to Showroom Managers and sales teams.
- Ensure adequate staffing, capability, and productivity across all retail locations.
- Drive a performance culture through regular reviews, coaching, and development plans.
- Inventory & Retail Operations Oversight
- Oversee retail vehicle inventory planning, turnover, ageing, and mix across showrooms.
- Review market trends, customer demand, and lost sales analysis to guide stocking and sales focus.
- Ensure showroom display, merchandising, and retail readiness are aligned with brand standards.
- Budgeting & Commercial Control
- Contribute to the preparation and control of the annual sales forecast and operating budget.
- Monitor showroom-level sales expenses and performance to ensure commercial efficiency.
- Customer Experience & Brand Governance
- Ensure consistent delivery of the brand's customer experience across all showrooms.
- Monitor customer satisfaction indicators and implement corrective actions where required.
- Act as the brand custodian within retail operations, ensuring compliance with manufacturer and company standards.
- Cross-Functional & Market Coordination
- Coordinate with Marketing on lead generation, campaigns, and showroom traffic conversion.
- Collaborate with Aftersales, Finance, and Operations to ensure a seamless end-to-end customer journey.
- Track competitor activity and market dynamics to support informed sales decisions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field
- 7-10 years of experience in automotive retail sales with a minimum 2 years of experience in a similar position in a reputable dealership.
- Strong automotive retail sales leadership with multi-showroom oversight.
- Proven ability to manage managers and drive performance through KPIs.
- Solid commercial and financial acumen, including sales forecasting and inventory control.
- Data-driven decision making using sales reports, dashboards, and CRM systems.
- Customer-centric mindset with strong focus on brand and customer experience standards.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management across commercial functions.
