Job Description

The Rotating Equipment Service Manager is a critical technical leadership role within the Rotating Equipment Solutions team at EthosEnergy Abu Dhabi LLC. This position manages all Workshop and Field Service activities for the Centrifugal Compressor and Steam Turbine Team, providing technical support to operations and direct oversight of the Field Service Engineers. The role is responsible for delivering service packs, ensuring technical excellence, and supporting both onshore and offshore projects across the GCC and beyond.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Workshop and Field Service teams for centrifugal compressors and steam turbines.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to Field Service Engineers, Production Engineers, and Applications Engineers.
  • Oversee the preparation and delivery of service packs for field operations.
  • Collaborate closely with the Machine Shop Production Manager to ensure seamless workflow and quality standards.
  • Support the Production Engineer and Applications Engineer within the rotating equipment team.
  • Conduct regular site visits (onshore and offshore) across the GCC and internationally as required.
  • Act as technical lead or project manager on-site when necessary, including covering for team members.
  • Work cross-functionally with commercial and project management teams to ensure successful project delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement in all workshop and field activities.

Required Skills / Knowledge

  • Deep technical expertise in rotating equipment, especially centrifugal compressors and steam turbines.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills, with experience overseeing technical teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities in workshop and field environments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across teams and with clients.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively and work on-site as needed.

Experience

  • Significant experience (minimum 8-10 years) in rotating equipment service, maintenance, or engineering roles.
  • Demonstrated success in managing workshop and field service teams.
  • Experience working with major clients in the GCC region is highly desirable.
  • Track record of delivering technical solutions and managing complex service projects.

Education Requirements

  • Certifications in rotating equipment maintenance or project management are a plus.
  • Full and clean driving license (UAE or convertible to UAE license).

Physical Requirements

  • Able to travel extensively and work in workshop, field, and offshore environments.
