S. Mechanical BIM Engineer

Key Responsibilities :

Design & Technical Review:

Possess and apply good knowledge of design for mechanical systems, including Firefighting (FF), Plumbing (PL), and Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC).

Review and analyze all received design drawings and specifications from consultants to ensure accuracy, constructability, and compliance with project requirements.

Identify and resolve any discrepancies or conflicts within the design documents. Project Documentation & Implementation

Lead the development and implementation of detailed shop drawings and coordination drawings for all mechanical systems.

Prepare a detailed Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for all mechanical-related works, ensuring accuracy for tendering and procurement.

Ensure all project documentation is up-to-date and accurately reflects the as-built conditions. Value Engineering & Cost Management

Perform value engineering analyses to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising on quality, performance, or code compliance.

Act in a quantity surveying capacity by preparing cost estimates, monitoring project quantities, and assessing variations.

Prepare and manage the budget for mechanical projects, tracking expenses and providing cost forecasts. Project Planning & Compliance

Develop and manage detailed time plans and schedules for mechanical works, ensuring alignment with the master project program.

Maintain good knowledge of relevant Mechanical codes and standards (e.g., IPC, UPC, ASHRAE, NFPA) and ensure all designs and installations are fully compliant.

Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.

A minimum of 4 years of proven experience in a similar role, preferably within a developer firm.

Must be ready to join immediately or with a short notice period. Technical Proficiency

Excellent knowledge of related software, including

AutoCAD (2D drafting and detailing) o Revit (BIM modeling and coordination) o HAP (Carrier Hourly Analysis Program) or similar for HVAC load calculations.

Elite or similar for hydraulic fire system calculations.

MS Project
