Role Description The Safety Compliance Specialist at DESTRESS-NL is a part-time, remote role responsible for ensuring that organizational practices align with health, safety, and stress-prevention standards. On a day-to-day basis, this role reviews policies and procedures, assesses workplace risks related to stress and occupational health, and recommends improvements that support safe and resilient work environments. The specialist collaborates with project partners to integrate safety compliance into stress reduction programs, provides guidance on best practices, and supports the development of training materials and documentation. Additional tasks include monitoring regulatory updates, preparing compliance reports, and advising stakeholders on corrective actions and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Demonstrated expertise in Health & Safety and Occupational Health, with the ability to apply these principles to stress prevention and employee well-being.
Proficiency in Environment Health and Safety (EHS), including familiarity with relevant regulations, standards, and risk assessment methodologies.
Experience delivering Safety Training focused on compliance, workplace risk awareness, and practical prevention strategies.
Skills in Accident Investigation, including root-cause analysis and the development of corrective and preventive actions.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the capacity to interpret data and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams in a remote setting.
Relevant education in occupational safety, public health, industrial hygiene, or a related field; professional certifications in safety or EHS are an advantage.
Experience in workplace mental health, stress management programs, or well-being initiatives is highly beneficial.
