Key Responsibilities
1. Safety Compliance & Monitoring
- Supervise and monitor highrisk activities such as working at heights, hot work, confined spaces, lifting operations, etc.
- Ensure all operations comply with company safety policies, government regulations, and industry best practices.
- Observe and report unsafe acts/conditions and recommend corrective actions.
2. Risk Assessment
- Perform risk assessments and implement control measures to minimize hazards.
- Assist in developing Safe Systems of Work (SSOW), Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and ensure compliance with Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems.
3. Training & Awareness
- Deliver toolbox talks, safety inductions, and HSE training programs for employees and contractors.
- Educate staff on safety procedures, emergency response protocols, and hazard reporting.
4. Incident & Emergency Handling
- Lead emergency response activities and ensure timely incident reporting and documentation.
- Conduct incident/accident investigations and prepare detailed reports with root cause analysis.
5. Inspections & Audits
- Perform routine site inspections, safety audits, and ensure timely closure of corrective actions.
- Ensure proper maintenance of safety equipment and verify the condition of tools and machinery.
6. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain HSE documentation including incident records, PTWs, inspection logs, and training registers.
- Prepare periodic safety performance reports for management review.
Requirements
Certifications
- NEBOSH IGC (Mandatory).
- Additional certifications such as IOSH, OSHA, OSHAD, ISO 45001 Lead Auditor are an advantage.
Experience
Skills
- Strong communication and reporting skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of UAE local safety regulations and industry standards.
- Proficiency in MS Office and safety management systems.
