Safety Officer

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Safety Officer role based in Jeddah. The Safety Officer will oversee daily health and safety activities within the plant, including conducting routine inspections, identifying hazards, and ensuring compliance with local regulations and company policies. The role involves developing and implementing safety procedures, coordinating risk assessments, and leading accident and incident investigations to determine root causes and corrective actions. The Safety Officer will organize and deliver safety training sessions for employees, maintain safety records and documentation, and collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to promote a strong safety culture. The role also includes coordinating with security personnel as needed to support safe and secure workplace operations.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Health & Safety and Occupational Health skills, with knowledge of relevant regulations and best practices.
• Candidates should possess Accident Investigation skills, including root cause analysis and implementation of preventive measures.
• Candidates should possess Security-related skills sufficient to coordinate with security teams on workplace safety and access control.
• Candidates should possess Safety Training skills, including the ability to design and deliver clear, engaging training sessions for diverse teams.
• Relevant qualifications such as a diploma or degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field, and certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent) are beneficial.
• Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments, preferably in plastics or packaging, and familiarity with risk assessment, emergency response planning, and safety auditing is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, ability to work on-site in Jeddah in different shifts , and commitment to fostering a proactive safety culture are required.
