We have an opportunity for a Safety Officer with one of a leading US based coating company in Saudi. If you are an experienced safety, risk assessment, and compliance professional, having strong background in safety standards and the ability to implement safety programs effectively, then you are the one we are looking for.
If you are certified in safety management (NEBOSH, OSHA, or equivalent) and proficient in conducting safety audits and training, we invite you to join our client's team as a Safety Officer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with local, national, and Saudi Aramco safety regulations and standards.
- Conduct regular risk assessments, hazard identification, and safety inspections to prevent workplace accidents.
- Investigate accidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions, providing reports and recommending corrective actions.
- Develop and conduct safety training programs for employees to promote a culture of safety.
- Implement and maintain emergency response plans, including fire drills and first aid procedures.
- Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and compliance with safety protocols.
- Monitor work activities to ensure adherence to safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of safety audits, inspections, training, and incident reports.
- Work closely with management, employees, and regulatory bodies to improve workplace safety.
Required Qualification / Experience / Skills:
- Diploma/Degree in a related field.
- NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, or equivalent safety certification
- Minimum 3 years of experience in workplace safety, preferably in Oil & Gas / Pipeline / Coating industries.
- Strong understanding of OHS standards, risk assessment methodologies, and accident prevention techniques.
- Experience in conducting safety audits and compliance inspections.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to enforce safety protocols.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% for safety audits, training, or compliance checks.
Salary budget : Up to SAR 7K /month + SAR 675 against food allowance.
