Sales Engineer - Water treatment chemicals

Petromar Oil Field Chemicals Manufacturing (POCM) is a chemical production facility located in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

We are seeking an experienced Sales Engineer to drive the sales of Water treatment chemicals across the MENA (Middle East & North Africa) region. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in water treatment chemicals, industrial sales and market development. The role involves managing key accounts, expanding the customer base, and achieving revenue targets while ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development:

Develop and execute sales strategies to meet revenue targets in the GCC region. Identify and pursue new business opportunities in municipal, industrial, and EPC Contractors.

Should be familiar with water treatment related to Reverse Osmosis, Thermal Desalination, Boilers, Cooling towers, heat exchangers, hydrotesting, mothballing, effluent waste water.

Conduct market research to understand regional trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.

Prepare and deliver technical and commercial proposals to potential clients.

Customer & Account Management

Serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts, ensuring high customer satisfaction. Provide technical support and product recommendations based on client requirements. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and payment terms to maximize profitability.

Reporting & Compliance

Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and market analysis for management. Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and export/import laws.

Qualifications & Experience

Education: Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, Chemistry, Environmental Science, or related field.

Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in sales of water treatment chemicals, with a proven track record in the GCC region.

Driving License: UAE/GCC based driving license is mandatory to apply for this role.

Ability to work independently and travel frequently (up to 50%).

Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory, Arabic is an added advantage.
