Sales Executive - Freight Forwarding
Job Purpose
To drive business growth by acquiring new B2B clients and expanding the company's market share. This involves promoting comprehensive logistics solutions (Sea, Air, and Land freight, including customs clearance) and building long-term strategic partnerships to meet and exceed annual sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development: Identify and reach out to potential leads within the import/export sector through cold calling, networking, and market research.
Solution Design: Analyze client requirements and provide competitive quotations that include freight, customs clearance, and warehousing services.
Negotiation & Closing: Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact to negotiating contract terms and closing deals.
Account Management: Collaborate with the operations team to ensure smooth shipment execution and maintain high levels of client satisfaction.
Market Intelligence: Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and global shipping rate fluctuations (Market Trends).
Qualifications & Skills
Experience: 25 years of proven sales experience specifically within the freight forwarding or logistics industry.
Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of Incoterms, shipping documentation, and global logistics routes.
Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, persuasion, and high-level negotiation skills.
Languages: Fluency in English (written and spoken) is essential for dealing with international agents and partners.
CRM Skills: Experience with CRM systems for lead tracking, pipeline management, and reporting is a plus.
