Sales Manager Wastewater Treatment & Desalination (EPC & O&M)
ROLE SUMMARY
Responsible for driving sales, business development, and client acquisition for desalination (RO/MED/MSF) and wastewater treatment plants (MBR/SBR/tertiary) across engineering design, EPC construction, and O&M/maintenance services. Manages the full sales cycle, identifies new opportunities, builds strong relationships with utilities, industrial clients, consultants, and developers, and supports tender preparation and technical-commercial proposals.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify, target, and win new projects in desalination and wastewater treatment across municipal and industrial sectors.
- Develop relationships with utilities, government bodies, industrial clients, EPC contractors, and engineering consultants.
- Lead the full sales cycle: prospecting qualification proposal negotiation closing.
- Work closely with engineering and proposals teams to prepare technical-commercial offers, BOQs, and tender submissions.
- Attend client meetings, technical discussions, and site visits to understand requirements.
- Track tenders through portals (NUPCO, Musanada, DEWA, SEWA, ADSSC, Marafiq, SWCC, RSG, etc.).
- Maintain an accurate pipeline and provide monthly sales forecasts.
- Monitor competitor activity, pricing, market trends, and new project announcements.
- Achieve annual sales and revenue targets for EPC projects and O&M contracts.
- Represent the company at exhibitions, conferences, and industry events.
- Ensure contract terms, scope, pricing, and risk profiles meet company guidelines.
- Support handover of secured projects to project and engineering teams.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Environmental, Civil) or related.
- 712+ years experience in sales or business development within:
- Water & wastewater treatment plants
- Desalination (SWRO/MED/MSF)
- Industrial water systems
- EPC/design-build companies
- O&M/maintenance companies
- Proven track record in closing medium-to-large scale water projects.
- Strong network with utilities (DEWA, SWCC, EWEC, Marafiq, ADSSC, SEWA), developers and industrial clients.
- Experience with technical proposals, tendering, and engineering documentation.
- GCC experience strongly preferred.
